Message from the Chair
Welcome to the 2010 ACS SA Branch Conference on 21 October 2010. This year we celebrate 50 years of computing in South Australia. We are delighted to be presenting this year's conference in conjunction with ISACA SA Chapter.
Australian business is increasingly reliant on ICT as an enabler of innovation and growth. With the theme Front and Centre: Recognising the Value of ICT the Conference will discuss many of the ways ICT penetrates our lives and will direct our futures.
The 2010 Conference has as its keynote the President of the Free Software Foundation's Dr Richard Stallman who will speak on “Copyright vs. Community in the Digital Age”. Richard will be accompanied throughout the day by many noted local and interstate speakers including Simon Hackett, Reg Coutts, David Powell, John van Ruth, Dr Anthony Overmars, John Neville, Tony Hayes, Patrick Wilson and the SA State Government CIO Andrew Mills. For complete details of the program and speakers, I invite you to visit the relevant pages of this website.
I, along with the Organising Committee, invite you to join us at the ACS/ISACA Conference and look forward to your participation on this landmark occasion at the Adelaide Festival Centre on Thursday 21 October 2010. Download the Delegate Brochure now.
Members attending the conference will attract 10 CP hours towards maintenance of the CP status.
